SITHFAB201 Provide Responsible Service of alcohol

Overview:

By Law! It is now a requirement that all full time and part time employees involved in the sale, supply or promotion of alcohol should complete their RSA.

This refers to:

Paragon Corporate Training's RSA Course deals with the skills and knowledge required to satisfy the requirements for responsible service of alcohol under State & Territory legislation. All elements are undertaken in accordance with legal provisions of the relevant liquor legislation. Evidence of competence must include demonstrated knowledge of harm minimisation principles which focuses on the responsible service of alcohol to patrons on licensed premises including hotels, taverns, night clubs and restaurants.

This course will also provide you with an understanding of the underpinning reasons for and benefits of responsible service of alcohol reforms. Paragon's Training methods allows for an easy, convenient learning environment for all persons.

The RSA Course is conducted in two parts:

Theory Section: this can be completed in your own time, therefore you can start anytime. We would email through to you a student guide along with a word document. You would read through the information in the student guide answers the questions in a word document, save it and email it back to our office.

Practical Training: If you are not currently working in the liquor industry you would be required to demonstrate various skills in a bar environment. This training is held on Wednesdays at about 12 o’clock at the Rosemount Hotel, North Perth. It is an excellent facility as we have access to a fully working bar for training. You will be required to attend for approximately an hour.

If you are currently working in the liquor industry then you can qualify for recognition of prior learning or RPL. In this case a third party form needs to be signed by the manager or licensee and returned to our office. This form confirms that you have demonstrated the practical skills of the RSA for example, pouring a standard drink, refusing service of alcohol etc.

We can also provide the training at your venue should you have sufficient numbers who require the qualification.  Please do not hesitate to contact us to discuss your requirements.

Not accepted in NSW and VIC
