Paragon Corporate Training
was established in 1996 and has become a leading provider in security
and investigative training. The strength in our training lies in innovation.
Paragon actively engage the learner through its development
and use of learning aids such as interactive CD, video and personal coaching.
This multi-facet approach to our training allows each student to engage
in learning beyond the confines of the classroom and into the real world
of security and investigation.
In our experience, real learning is best achieved
by doing, which is why we provide practical, hands-on assignments that
are meaningful and realistic.
Course overview:
This course provides an advanced investigative qualification
for the individual seeking entry into the dynamic field of private investigation.
It doesn’t matter if you don’t have any experience in investigation. This
course will provide you with the knowledge and skills to conduct comprehensive
investigations. Experience will obviously come along with the opportunity
to work within the industry.
Investigators must know the law in which they operate
and have skills to gather and record information. The processes by which
an investigator gathers their evidence is subject to independent scrutiny,
and as such, must meet the strict integrity and ethical standards incumbent
upon them.
Course delivery ...flexible and open learning:
Paragon’s approach to delivering this course focuses on
flexible and open learning. Our research shows that most people find it
difficult to get three weeks off to do a full-time course. Paragon’s flexible
approach to learning allows you to complete your studies at your own pace
and in your own learning environment. Importantly we do provide support,
guidance and direction where appropriate ….it’s a little bit like having
your own personal coach! You will actually do an investigation and conduct
surveillance and do all the things that a real investigator would do.
What skills and equipment do I need to have to be able to
do the Investigations training?
Skills:
It doesn’t matter if you don’t have any prior experience
in the Investigative industry. Paragon Corporate Training
will train you and provide you with the underpinning knowledge relating
to all legislative requirements as well as provide you with investigative
skills such as taking statements, conducting surveillance, compiling comprehensive
reports and giving evidence in court, to name but a few .
It is IMPORTANT that you have access to a computer
as well as possess fundamental computer skills as you will be required
to compile reports and forward emails to your facilitator as well as conduct
research on the Net.
Equipment:
It is desirable, all though not essential, that you have
your own equipment such as digital video camera, digital or 35 mm camera
and binoculars. It doesn’t matter if you don’t own any of your own gear
as you may be able to either borrow or hire some equipment for the purpose
of completing some of your units such as Conduct Surveillance and Operate
information gathering equipment.
Your qualifications are Nationally recognised
Every student who successfully completes their course
is awarded a Nationally recognised qualification and Statement of Academic
Record.
